International Symposium国際シンポジウム
国内外のミュージアムの日本美術専門家による、一般公開のシンポジウムを2015年から年一回開催しています。第７回目である今回のテーマは、「日本美術がつなぐ博物館コミュニティー：ウィズ／ポスト・コロナ時代の挑戦」です。新型コロナウイルス感染症の世界的な拡大により、完全にリモートで実施しました。
コロナ禍によって国内外の移動が制限される中、日本美術にどのように向き合い、研究成果を発信していくのか、また、デジタルならではの利点を活用した博物館活動について、実践に基づいた発表がなされ、議論が交わされました。
今回のシンポジウムはYouTubeでライブ配信を行うとともに、2週間のアーカイブ配信期間を設けて、より多くの方の視聴を可能としました。
Since 2015, the Tokyo National Museum has been organizing an annual symposium open to the public, featuring Japanese art experts from museums in Japan and abroad. The title of this seventh annual symposium was “Creating a Global Museum Community through the Arts of Japan: Challenges in and after the Era of COVID-19.” This year, the symposium was held remotely because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The presentations and respondents of this year’s symposium discussed how to approach Japanese art and disseminate research results under the current restrictions of movement across international borders, and how to take advantage of digital technology in presenting Japanese art.
The symposium was streamed live and shared on YouTube to make the symposium accessible to as many people as possible.
