Workshop

The workshop allows participants to become familiar with the conservation and handling of cultural properties while providing opportunities for networking. This year’s workshop included a sculpture handling session and conservation studio tour at the Nara National Museum, following by an excursion to sites in Nara city, Asuka village, and surrounding areas. Participants of this annual workshop are museum professionals from outside Japan, including curators of East Asian art as well as registrars, educators, designers, and others who are involved in Japanese art exhibitions at their respective institutions.
